Snatch and Clean & Jerk work the entire body, as well as the cardiovascular system. The top benefits of training the Olympic Lifts are to increase power, speed, jumping ability and improve flexibility and body composition.
The bar is lifted from the floor to overhead and will develop the whole chain of muscles from the gluteus and the spinal erectors to the trapezius. One-on-one sessions are essential to break down both the Snatch and Clean & Jerk and train progressions of each lift, therefore they deserve personal training sessions where they can be learned.
